Garden of Eden Review

Displaying image.jpeg

So I finally got my hands on the Garden of Eden pallette by Sleek. Normally I love their palettes and don't get me wrong I love the palette, but theres some colours in there that have been used in other palettes. Maybe it's time to broaden the range of colours that are used?
Once again the quality of the shadow is incredible and lasts the day. The colours compliment each other and are the perfect shades to create natural smoky looks. I think this natural palette inspired by the colours of nature is the perfect thing to take us into spring. I like that they have included pastel colours to take us into the popular spring trend.
Overall I like the palette but not completely amazed by it. The packaging is cute though!

Kourtney Kardashian recently put images of her home onto her Instagram page. Obviously with unlimited money and good taste the rooms were going to be to die for. I definitely like the hues of blue; the room is bold much like the family themselves. And how much monochrome is too much monochrome? Plus, every Celine bag should have its own podium. I want this house....and the bag....

Golden Globes meets Grunge

Cate Blanchett, Golden Globes

This Armani dress is beautiful; not too sheer and not too grungy. The intricate detailing is perfectly placed but not over bearing like some other dresses you see. I also love how Cate Blanchett has teamed the dress with subtle girly makeup, keeping the attention on the dress and on the detailing of the neckline.

Age is just a number!

Kate Beckinsale, Golden Globes 2014

I literally cannot believe that Kate Beckinsale is 40....if i look like that when i am 40 I'll be very happy!

Love love love the dress and the minimal makeup! With a dress like that you wouldn't want anything else to take away the attention. Beautiful.

Golden Globes - Favourite Looks

Sofia Vergara

One of my favourite looks from the annual Golden Globes comes from the beautiful Sofia Vergara. The dress is from designer Zac Posen, and that amazing necklace is from Lorraine Schwartz. The whole look caught my attention because of the necklace. The colour makes the look pop and compliments the lip colour bringing the main attention to the neckline. Vergara's hair again just looks effortless. The dress itself is not something that I would have chosen to work with the necklace however it is still a beautiful dress. The 41 year old beauty quoted to Ryan Seacrest: 'I feel like I'm wearing a tent' At least the dress will be used again instead of being a 'wear once' kind of item!

Another actress that teamed a black dress with the baby blue is Emma Roberts.

Emma Roberts, Golden Globes

This time, the blue came in the form of drop down earrings which compliments the neckline of the beautiful Lanvin fishtail dress. I like how Roberts has chosen earrings over a necklace as the necklace would have crowded the neckline.

Sleek IDivine Garden of Eden Palette

So the latest offering from Sleek is this gorgeous palette called Garden of Eden, due for release in February. Obviously being called Garden of Eden, you'd expect earthy tones, which is what you get. For me this is the perfect palette as I only like the natural tones for my own eyes. So I can't wait for it to be released, and at £7.99 its a steal for the quality that you receive!

So I recently brought some EOS lip balms online, £20 for 5 was hard to resist right? The only problem is they smell so good and make my lips uber soft that I now want more! Think I will try next the Blueberry Acai and Pomegranate Raspberry lip balms....Irresistible!

Caudalie purchase Number 2

Displaying photo.JPG

So a few weeks ago I reviewed the Caudalie Beauty Elixir and decided to try more products from Caudalie. I brought the Vino perfect complexion correcting serum to use along side the Elixir. The serum claims to reduce the appearance of dark circles, boost radiance and promote even skin tone. I have used this product for the last few weeks and can see that my skin tone has improved. My dark circles reduced slightly...but a few late nights and they're back. If only Vino perfect prevented them too!

The serum itself is oil free and so silky smooth. It literally feels lovely on the skin and helps to create the perfect base for your made up face. Plus, a little goes a long way which is perfect for those student purse strings!!
