Lip Trip

 Lip Trip

Lip trip is based around the art of the perfect lip. In order to get the perfect lip and create a fuller effect, you need to focus on the three c's.

The three c's are:
*Curve
*Colour
*Control

Curve - Creating the correct curve for the lip using lip liner.
Colour - Using the best colour suited to the skin colour.
Control - Having control over the product in order to create the best shape.

In order to create a fuller effect, there are a few techniques and tips which will help to achieve this:

* With lip liner, you want to go one or two shades darker then the chosen colour, starting at the outer corner moving in to the cupids bow.
* Using frosted powder over the lip colour creates the illusion of a fuller lip.
* To create ombre lips, use a dark liner or a lighter coloured gloss.
* Use gloss on the cupids bow and on the middle of the bottom lip to create a fuller lip. The light will catch the shine of the gloss.

Below is an example of how to apply lip liner:

First, you need to prep the lip and surrounding area. Cleanse the skin like normal and apply your base. Take attention of the surrounding skin area to see if it needs any extra moisturiser. Next you will need to exfoliate the lip, to remove any dead cells. To do this take a muslin cloth, and exfoliate over the lip, then remove with water. Place a tissue over the lip to remove excess water and product.
Next, you need to take your lip liner and make sure that it is sharpened. This is for hygiene reasons and also to ensure that you get a perfect line, which would not be achieved using a blunt pencil. Draw the line in the direction that the lip is going, so you need to move the models head in the direction of the lip to make sure that you get a straight line. Using a puff to cover your hand and to protect the base makeup from oils, put the pencil on the lip, moving it back and forth not taking the pencil off of the lip. Repeat the process on the other side of the lip, moving the models head again in the right direction.

Next, face the model straight on in order to get the cupids bow even. Use the pencil to draw a line from the centre of the nose, this will give you the correct position for the bow. Take this line down onto the lower lip. On the lower lip, draw the line three quarters of the way, then opening the mouth, place the pencil flat to fill in the corners. You can then fill in the lip with the liner and then add colour.
